Introduction: Cafe Giya

Cafe Giya in Angono is a well-loved and popular destination for locals and visitors alike. This charming Angono cafe has made a name for itself as one of the best cafes in Angono, Rizal. With its inviting ambiance, diverse menu, and delectable offerings, Cafe Giya has become a go-to spot for coffee enthusiasts, foodies, and those in search of a cozy place to relax.

VERRRYY HOT AND HUMID

It’s our first time visiting Rizal, and we were excited to try out a café there. Setting out early at 6 AM, we carried our jackets and sweaters, assuming Rizal might be chilly, akin to Tagaytay, due to how social media portrays it as a high-altitude area.

We reached Café Giya before 7 AM, thrilled to be the very first customers. However, as we waited for the café to open, we realized that it was quite hot in Angono. We ended up regretting bringing and wearing jackets that day. 😅

After our visit to Rizal that day, we discovered that places like Angono and Binangonan aren’t particularly high up in Rizal. They’re not part of the high-altitude areas in the province. If you’re looking to dine or visit cafes with pleasant weather, we suggest trying cafes in the Tanay, Rizal area.

Ambiance: Humidity Hinders Comfort 🥵

The atmosphere at Cafe Giya in Angono is nothing short of welcoming. It’s not pretentious or over-the-top. The cafe’s interior is a blend of rustic and modern design, offering a relaxed setting that encourages good conversations or a peaceful escape from the daily hustle and bustle. Whether you’re seeking a quiet corner to read a book or a place to catch up with friends, Cafe Giya’s casual and artistic ambiance will suit your needs.

A CAFE NOT FOR HOT COFFEE LOVERS. HERE’S WHY…

The best thing about this place is its outdoor dining area, offering a lovely view of the Rizal region near Manila. The presence of large pine trees adds a beautiful touch to the scenery, giving you a feel similar to the sights you’d find in Tagaytay.

Now, having dined in Tagaytay before, we’re no strangers to outdoor dining. However, our experience at this café was quite different. Even with a few fans around, it was a bit warm, making it not the most comfortable spot for sipping on a hot coffee. We even chose a table on the second floor, hoping for a better view and a cooler breeze, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite deliver. It’s important to note that we visited in September during the early morning, so we were expecting a somewhat cooler climate. Maybe the issue was with me ordering a hot coffee that morning. 😅

Price: Is it affordable?

One of the most appealing aspects of Cafe Giya is its affordability. The food prices are reasonable and won’t break the bank. You can enjoy a delicious meal and a cup of coffee without feeling like you’ve emptied your wallet. This affordability makes Cafe Giya a top choice for those who want a satisfying meal without splurging.

Taste of Food: Yay or Nay?

While Cafe Giya’s prices are budget-friendly, they certainly don’t compromise on taste. The food is simple yet delicious. Whether you opt for a classic ham and cheese sandwich or a more adventurous gourmet option, the flavors are sure to please your palate. They also pay attention to the quality of their coffee, ensuring it’s brewed to perfection. You can expect a rich, aromatic cup of coffee that pairs perfectly with their food offerings.

Specialties

Cafe Giya boasts some specialties that are worth trying. If you have a sweet tooth, their desserts, such as cakes and pastries, are heavenly. The cafe is known for its artisanal coffee blends, making it the ideal place for coffee connoisseurs.

ALCOHOLIC DRINKS

They have drinks like beer, cocktails, wine, and other alcoholic beverages. But be cautious as they charge a corkage fee if you bring drinks not sold here. I believe it’s a great place for a peaceful and quiet night out with friends, especially during the evening, with its great view. It gets windy and cool at night, making it a perfect spot for drinks with friends.
