I guess you could say their food is kind of experimental. Some dishes turn out really good, but others seem like they’ve been messed with a bit too much.
I had their salad, and it was pretty tasty, except for some raw/smoked meat pieces in it. Also, I tried their smoked salmon Tartines, but they seemed undercooked to me, almost raw. But hey, maybe it’s just my taste, and I’m being picky about it.

ALBA RESTAURANTE ESPAÑOL IN WESTGATE
Alba is just a short stroll from Wildflour and Neil’s Kitchen.
As soon as you walk in, you’ll see neatly set tables and chairs. The wall has a lovely painting showing windows looking out over the sea, making it feel like you’re dining by the ocean in Spain. Over in one corner, there’s a display of wines and delicious pastries.
If you need more seating, they’ve got extra dining space upstairs and outside. The cozy atmosphere is made even nicer with lots of Spanish paintings on the walls, art, and fake vines gracefully hanging from the ceiling, adding a nice touch to the restaurant.
SPANISH-SINGING BAND
Inside the restaurant, there are musicians who can play any songs you suggest. Initially, they play Spanish songs, but you can also request other songs. It’s appreciated if you give them a tip for singing your requested song.
This adds to the special atmosphere, different from other restaurants with bands, because their skills are impressive, and it adds a genuine Spanish vibe to the experience.

It’s like each dish has its own story to tell, showcasing the skills and love that go into making them.
What adds more to the charm of Alba is that a lot of the dishes on their menu have Spanish names, which truly brings out the authenticity of their food.
Another great thing about their menu is that it has pictures of most dishes, which makes ordering easier, especially if you’re with kids or toddlers.

AVERAGING TO ₱900-₱1000 PER PERSON
Here’s our receipt, and as you can see, we ordered quite a bit. For a group of nine, including three senior citizens, our total bill of P8540.29 is quite reasonable.
I FELT LIKE THEIR PORTIONS WERE A BIT SMALL
Their portions seem a bit small. We ended up ordering another serving of Gambas al Ajillo, priced at P420, to truly enjoy it. Same goes for another menuIt tasted good, but the price for just one serving made it feel expensive, especially if you’re considering ordering more.
Two members of our group planned to split the Caldereta de Cabrito, priced at P500, when we were ordering. However, upon its arrival, it didn’t seem suitable for sharing, much like the other dishes we ordered.
Did we forget to check if the dishes could be shared? Maybe we’re used to places where one order can be split between two or more people. We might have jumped to conclusions a bit too fast. 😅
