Ambiance: What Makes it Different from Other Branches?
The Bag of Beans Main Branch is anything but your usual restaurant, and it’s not just another Bag of Beans restaurant either. This restaurant brings together various styles and themes, including European, Italian garden, library, chic, and 80s ride/car concepts.
As you enter through their main door, a delightful sight awaits you. Colorful umbrellas hang from the ceiling, creating a vibrant and cheerful atmosphere. To the right, you’ll notice an array of mirrors and decorations hanged on a white wall, each with its unique style, perfect for Instagram-worthy photos.
If you take a good look around, you’ll notice that the place has different sections, each with its own unique vibe. For example, there’s a section with a Texas-style motorcycle theme, complete with a big motorcycle hand on the wall. Then, there’s another area that looks like a cozy library or bookstore, with lots of books on the wall.
We decided to sit in the garden-style area, which is lovely. There are plenty of round lights hanging from the trees, and the colorful buildings nearby give it a Parisian feel.
Whether you’re looking for a romantic dining experience in Tagaytay or a family-friendly cafe where you can unwind, Bag of Beans Main Branch has it all. The rustic ambiance and charming surroundings make it a perfect venue for various occasions, from weekend brunches to intimate gatherings. They even host weddings, making it a dreamy wedding venue amidst nature’s splendor.

What’s the price of the food at Bag of Beans?
Three of us visited this place for a simple and light dinner. We ordered a roast beef sandwich, pesto pasta, garden fresh salad, a chicken barbecue sandwich, an omelette for my 12-year-old child, two Frosty hot chocolate drinks, and a cookies and cream milkshake. (Yes, this is considered as light dinner!! 😅) The bill came out to 3420.36 pesos in total.
Whether you’re dining at Bag of Beans Main Branch or one of its other locations, you can expect consistent food quality and pricing. To be straightforward, it’s one of the more expensive restaurants in Tagaytay. Their menu features items like pies for around 200 pesos, omelettes priced at 480 pesos, and main dishes and local favorites that can go up to around 1000 pesos.
If you ask me personally, it may be considered expensive, especially when a simple omelette costs 480 pesos, which may not be affordable for everyone. However, I must say that it’s quite gratifying because even though the prices are high, the quality of the food justifies it. Everything tastes excellent, making it worth the cost.
